Group Runs

Colchester Foodbank is the busiest in the East of England and has dwindling stock reserves, with demand having risen by 12% while food donations have been decreasing due to the cost of living crisis.

Company of Runners want to do something to help.

As England Atheltics qualified Leaders in Running Fitness, we love to take groups of runners out on to the trails, so we have launched a calendar of guided runs to do just that.

Your “entry fee” will be to bring us an item from the Foodbank shopping list – it need only be as little as a bottle of shampoo or a small bag of rice – we’ll also add to this regular haul and take them to the Foodbank.

The Group Runs will be a mixture of distances from five miles to marathon distance, but the entry fee will always remain the same. One item from the Foodbank list. And we will always make sure to create trail routes that are stunning to run and packed full of interesting features. It’s worth pointing out that these are group runs for all running abilities, and we will always keep the group together, so if you are looking for a PB-experience this will not be for you. These will be more of a social, chatty, support-each-other type run. Ideal if you want to build experience on trails or want to run with others and make running friends rather than always running solo.

Please note that we will not be getting permits for these runs, nor permissions to park or use trails, so do park considerately to local residents and be mindful of other path users and the Countryside code. Please bring your own water and any fuel you require and dress appropriately for the weather.

So take a look at the list of runs below, and come and join us to experience the wonders of the countryside and give a little something back. Entries are limited so sign up today.
